Rachel Samuel

I am an experienced cellist with over 20 years experience as a performer and teacher. I had a diverse background in teaching, having worked in both state and private schools in England, providing instruction to groups and individuals.
My teaching philosophy centres on fostering enthusiasm, emphasising the importance of good sound, creativity, and enjoyment while not being bound solely by the classical tradition.
I also understood the need for focused awareness when playing and the importance of learning with good technical skill and consistent practice.
After training at Trinity College of Music, London, I have worked with singer-songwriters and explored various musical genres, including folk, country, pop, rock, and blues, while still occasionally delving into classical music.
